From research to the factory: building the infrastructures that accelerate European Deeptech.
June 16th, 2026
At VivaTech, Julien Lalanne, CEO of IXCAMPUS, had the opportunity to share our vision of a key challenge for innovation: how to turn scientific discoveries into concrete industrial capabilities more quickly.
France — and the Île-de-France Region in particular — benefits from world-class research in photonics, semiconductors and quantum technologies. The challenge now is to accelerate the move from the laboratory to the factory, by giving entrepreneurs and industrial players access to the infrastructures they need to grow.
This is precisely the mission of IXCAMPUS.
A roadmap built for scaling up
We presented our roadmap, including the opening at Paris-Saclay in 2028 of a 20,000 m² turnkey nanofabrication facility. Designed to help start-ups and industrial players accelerate their scale-up without massive industrial investment, it will be a decisive link in the Deeptech value chain.
A “Maison du Quantique” at Paris-Saclay
We were also very pleased to be associated with the announcement, by Valérie Pécresse and Alain Aspect, of the creation of a Maison du Quantique on the Paris-Saclay plateau, hosted at the Institut d’Optique Graduate School. It will serve as the showcase of a value chain unique in Europe, bringing together fundamental and applied research, world-class education, start-ups and industrial infrastructures.
An ecosystem supported by the Region
Our sincere thanks to the Île-de-France Region for its steadfast support for innovation, for the industrialisation of breakthrough technologies, and for the development of shared infrastructures that enable our Deeptech ecosystem to reach a new milestone.
