iXcampus welcomes a high-level institutional delegation to discuss the challenges of quantum innovation
July 24th, 2025
Five months ahead of the opening of its new campus dedicated to photonics and quantum technologies in Saint-Germain-en-Laye, iXcampus had the honor of hosting a high-level institutional delegation to discuss innovation and the quantum industry. The guests included Clément Roussel (Directorate General for Armament), Loïc Le Loarer (General Secretariat for Investment), Pierre Bonnet (Ministry of the Economy), and Olivier Gorceix (Ministry of Higher Education and Research).
The visit began with a tour of the construction site, allowing the guests to see the progress of the work and the vision for the future campus, which aims to become a landmark hub for research, entrepreneurship, and innovation in quantum and photonics technologies. Designed as a unifying hub, the site will provide startups, researchers, and industrial partners with a unique environment to accelerate the transfer from science to industry.
During the visit, participants also had the opportunity to meet resident startups and companies on the campus. Viqthor and Isentroniq, specializing in the control of quantum objects in cryogenic environments, showcased their innovative work, while Exail, a world leader in inertial navigation and photonic components, shared its technological advances and development perspectives. These exchanges highlighted the strength of the existing ecosystem and its potential to attract new strategic players in quantum and photonics technologies.
With this future campus, iXcampus reinforces its role as a central hub connecting academic, industrial, and entrepreneurial ecosystems, creating an environment conducive to breakthrough innovations. The upcoming opening of the Saint-Germain-en-Laye campus will mark a major milestone in structuring a French-speaking quantum and photonics ecosystem, supporting research, industry, and France’s technological sovereignty.
